This Bill expands the Administrative Review Tribunal’s ability to make decisions on the papers. IARC opposes the Bill, arguing it sacrifices fairness for alleged efficiency. Instead, IARC recommends efficiency should be achieved by improving ART systems and processes, and by funding legal assistance providers addressing the Protection visa backlog.
